The Afghan Commando force is currently increasing its strength. Under the new 4-year Road Map to professionalize the Afghan National Defense and Security Forces (ANDSF) and defeat the Taliban the Afghan Ministry of Defense (MoD) plans to double the size of its special operations forces. The Afghan National Army Special Operations Command (ANASOC) training facility – Camp Morehead – is pushing students through the 14-week long Afghan Commando Course at an increased pace. Watch a short video entitled Doubling the Afghan Commando Force about the training. Video is by NATO’s Resolute Support Mission and was posted on the RS HQs YouTube.com account on December 6, 2017.
